    Whenever he comes over here to pimp a film, he seems like a proper guy. Sorta guy you'd be happy sharing a pint with and shooting the shit for hours on end.

    On top of which, like most Americans, he seems to revel in the fact he can swear on TV. Nothing massively over the top, but relaxed enough to allow an emphasising profanity to pass his lips every now and then.

    And, surprisingly, the sky didn't fall down. Someone should maybe mention that to the FCC.........

    The FCC is almost an "Orwellian" institution over here, due in large part to the "hardcore" Christians (see the irony there? LOL)
    Just last week they dropped the fine on CBS for Janet Jackson's breast during the Super Bowl from what......3-4 years ago? The only thing obscene about that, was her (nasty) breast! :p

    I have this memory.....stop rolling your eyes.....anyway, it'd be eight years ago, and i was crashing in a travelling buddy's dorm room in Portland. It was 2AM, we were a bit drunk, a little stoned and we were flicking through the channels looking for something to watch.
    We got to one (i forget which one), and it was JACKPOT Top Gun. DOUBLE JACKPOT, it was only the last 15 minutes or so.
    So, we cheered and did all the flying moves as Mav and Iceman waxed some Russkies.
    And at the end, with the now legendary homo-erotic signature line of `You can be my wingman anytime.` `Bullshit, you can be mine.`


    THEY EDITED THE `SHIT`!!! At 2 o' clock in the fucking morning!


    And don't even get me started on the fucking MPAA. When i tell Americans that the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) no longer edits films, or recommends edits to films, just producing ratings and guidance (sex, violence, drug use, language etc), they just laugh till i convince them it's true.

    Then they cry, just a little bit.

    It's insane over here with that shit. All the film directors now clamor for a "PG-13" rating on their flicks, because they know that the "R" rating, which used to be the mainstay for most worthy films (IMHO) is now a death blow to ticket sales. :(

    The Toro "lawn beast" has a drink holder, so at least I'll stay "hydrated"! LOL :p
