    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Saxon_pound

If i'm reading that right, the term `pound` was originally linked to the weight of a certain number of pennies.

And - The word pound comes from the Latin word pendere, meaning "to weigh".

    God, i love Wiki.

Lock, Stock is a very good film.

The Greek music bit as all the main players head towards the gunfight.....sublimely funny.

I figured pound was originally weight.

And, what a shock, it's from the Latin. Even now, three-quarters of our fucking language is `from the Latin`.

    Fucking Latins. [IMG]

That's a joke about Latin-speakers, not Latino's, for any PC bot watching the exchanges over at NSA.

Maid in Manhattan is a chick flick of the J-Lo variety. It's okay, in a silly, American Rom-Com kind of way.

Snatch was good, especially Brad Pitt, but i still prefer Lock, Stock.

Although i did see the trailer for Rocknrolla in front of The Dark Knight - and it looks pretty good.

Let's be honest; it's about time Guy Ritchie did something good again.
