I mean, it's not hot like either people think of it as hot. But it's hot for us; topped out at 31 centigrade yesterday, and considering we've had some fairly inclement weather lately, that's fucking hot.

Should be better today. Hopefully.

I remember travelling to Cairns on Australia's east coast a ways back, during `Summer` (Winter for me, summer for them; damn them and that equator, flipping everything). Anyway, one day in Cairns it was `cold`; got down to 28 C - and i saw an Aborignal woman walking down the street in a FUR coat!

Now, i'd become acclimatised to the 35-40 average by then, but still, fur coat?

I think it was 85 here today. We had a hot streak before that and it was getting up to 95.

As for overdoing it...*shrug*...she's Aboriginal; they've been there a bit longer than the `white man` (or `devil`, depending on your political leanings), and it's been wicked hot down there since.....well, forever, really. Probably why it's mostly fucking desert.

 

ahh, you get some shitty winter up there though, its not as bad here as it is in scribes neck of the woods, here it cools down nicely at night, in vegas itll be 100 degrees at midnight

 

We get snow and messy weather in the winter. Temps in the teen and even as low as single digits (rarely). A typical winter day might be in the 20s over night with a high in the low 30s.

ahh never been in northern in CA, just Southern CA: LA & San Diego. I want to explore northern CA someday though.
