    I've been taking care of her on a daily basis since she was 6 months old or so. Her mother works days and sometimes nights, so I'm the primary care giver. I treasure all our time together, it's been alot of fun watching her come along everyday, so many wonderful memories too.

    Unfortunately, that time is coming to an end. Her mother is moving to California in a month, and where the mother goes, the baby goes. Since we're not married, there's not much getting around it. There's no guaratee a court would side with me, and she loves her mother dearly, so I'm not gonna put her through a bunch of bullshit in the courts, not at 2 1/2 years old. It's gonna be a hell of a change for me that's for certain.

    It's gonna be tough but I'm a crusty old sort, I'll survive but I'll be a little diminished for it. She'll only be a 5 hour drive away, that's a good thing. If it was the other side of the country, I don't know how I would deal with that.
