It was billed as an adult romcom. Thing is, if you really were aiming this at women you wouldn't get Sydney Sweeney to star in it. Sydney Sweeney does not appeal to most women

I dunno about actual nudity in screeners but that was Jen Aniston's strategy for many years. Claim nudity in a film to drum up interest and then have there not actually be any.

But the difference between Sydney Sweeney and Jen Aniston is that Sweeney's actually been nude more than a couple of times. So you would think that she would be above that.

 

Ok lets get back to rumors and news and be done with the speculation. This is not a general discussion thread about nudity in movies. This is to provide info on nude scenes in upcoming movies, not past nude scenes or the practice of any particular actress when it comes to doing or not doing nude scenes.

 

What do we think the over-under is on a different cut of the movie from other film markets? Australian or European maybe. I would find a Blu-ray deleted scene far fetched but I could see it being cut differently for different markets.

Also this is starting to remind me of fandom forums in the early 2000's where there was like 100 different threads and if you talked about the slightly wrong thing in the wrong thread you got roasted. "Hey you talked about ash's Pikachu in the wrong thread. This is the Pikachu thread for Pikachu in Pokemon yellow, go to the Pikachu thread for Pikachu from the tv show". I get keeping things on topic but this is getting well into over-moderated territory. Message board trends have moved away from this style and this feels dated.

 

That's some harsh criticism from someone who just walked in the door and hasn't contributed a thing. You dont like it here, feel free to go elsewhere. This thread has a purpose and its not going to be allowed to run completely off course.

I have a love/hate relationship there, way too much wavering standards and rules depending on the person, what's perfectly fine for one person to say is a banworthy offense for another. Plus, every sub devolves into one giant "let's blow sunshine and rainbows 24/7, no criticism allowed!". Ugh, that's why I get so many down votes there lol.

Got a response from someone saying that they skimmed the episodes and didn't see any nudity.

 

Few camrips of "Anyone But You" are out, and unless they are missing some segments of the scenes initial look is that there is zero explicit nudity from Sydney Sweeney in it. Movies only sex scene is so choppily cut that it looks like all parts showing her nudity were removed.

There is good bit male nudity to go around.

 

That jives with what I saw theatrically. The editing for the sex scene is horrendous, and the rest of the movie blows too. I was at least hoping to see some Sydney skin on the big screen, then hoping there was some more nudity-friendly foreign cut.

 

she was in it because I believe she was the producer behind it, her production company she owns/started with her fiance bought the script and made it happen so she was always going to be the lead... she didn't get picked and cast in the role by others, she cast her self in the role

 

Anyone But You is turning into a hit at the box office so while I am not holding my breath they might just release an "unrated, extra hot" cut on BluRay to get some more dollars on it

 

Besides if Sweeney was force behind making movie happen in first place it most likely means it was her who told all her nudity to be cut, so don't expect nudity to ever come back to this movie.

 

this makes no sense, by this rationale you're essentially saying she just got nude for the sake of getting nude and giving everyone on set a free show lol... if she had the power to demand her nude scenes be cut, why would she film them in the first place?

the much more likely scenario is after the nude clips got screened and major studios/distribution companies were discussing it, they said to appeal to a wider audience those scened had to be cut and so they were...

 

Could have just changed her mind on it like Portman did years ago. And if she was a producer on it, just makes it that much easier to have cut out.
