i do have respect for everyone who tries to do his best here. it´s still an immens popular thread.

i´m also always ready for a good rant.

but bashing off people who try (and i do believe they are willing to improve, how bad their attempts may be so far - this doesn´t only happens to starters, btw. - don´t force me to post examples. i could) and get results like many others are posting here is not really appreciated.

i do understand that it may be annoying to see requests, bumped requests, "painted" whishful-thinking pics over and over, but... calm down. just ignore what you don´t like.

my "advice" to start with this x-raying, if anyone is interested: i found it always easier to transform a promising pic to greyscale (either change mode from RGB to greyscale or desaturate it). play with brightness and contrast, work on shadows and highlights. it becomes pretty clear after a short period of playing if there´s someting to find behind the wardrobe.

Sorry to both mkultra and River - I just get a little nuts when I see people starting down the path of relying on the burn tool, especially when there's no evidence as to what they are showing actually exists there. Sometimes I am a little harsh, especially when I'm in a bad mood. My apologies.

I'd would second your advice of learning on pics more obvious (sheer or partially see-through already) and just playing with the brightness, contrast, saturation, and sometimes the hue so you can understand how it affects the image, what becomes more visible, and then how to really bring out the hidden details.

I'll try and be more patient, but it's not always easy to hold your tongue especially when you may have already looked at a pic and know there's nothing there to get. Recently I've also been posting just the brightness/contrast/saturation adjusted layer to give the newbies an idea of what you can bring out, and then further enhance with additional work. This is what I do to all the images I'm investigating to see if there's hidden details I can work with. If it passes this first test, then I'll move on to "the full monty" which can often take 45 minutes to an hour or more to complete.

I'm sure a lot of you guys have seen this picture of Nicky Whelan, above. just as i have. well i decided to look up the name to see what else was out there.. lo and behold i found some images that were somewhat editable, so i edited them to reveal more .. these pics are all her .. no body parts have been replaced or altered with someone else's parts .. i just played with the colors to reveal more for all to enjoy .. so enjoy

Wow. Did this thread get linked to some sites recently thats attracting alot ppl that clearly don't care about the forum or the xray thread? Clearly alot of ppl are getting in here and posting b4 reading keeping with the etiquette this thread enjoyed for so long.

Hope this new trend doesn't stick. Been an avid reader/viewer of it for a long time. Cause I dont post much, might as well take the time to thank T, C, opo, silentb and the rest. Thank buttons are great, but im old fashioned.

look up the originals online and you'll see there's a difference btw mines and the originals .. the original is not as see through .. but in any case .. i'm not here to break the rules or cause controversy ..just to contribute to the thread .. if you rather i didn't then that's fine too .. no big deal
