  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

This is more of a suggestion for Phun users but can also apply to file hosters using rapidshare or filefactory. So I'm not sure if this goes in this forum.

If you use Firefox, you know there are tons of great addons for it. One of the best addons is called Greasemonkey.
Greasemonkey allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript.

    You can get Greasemonkey here
    http://anonym.to/?https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748

Then, install a copy of the following script into Greasemonkey

    Rapidshare Links Checker
    http://anonym.to/?http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/9467

"Automatically checks rapidshare.com and and filefactory.com links from the page that you are visiting"

It goes through a page and checks all the RS links to see if they are still valid. If they are, it places a green check mark next to the link. If the file is dead, a red x is used.

    Example

    Before

    After

I believe this should prove useful to quite a few people!

i just tried checking a couple of video threads out. it seems to work. this would be a great tool for fucktard noobs. instead of asking for a reup they would know the link is dead. (mind you they would probably still ask for a reup)

Glad it's working out for you :)

Especially useful for those videos that are larger than 3-4 files

i also think this would be useful for noobs. it would stop them asking fuckwit questions ,like where are the vids?
