FWIW here's what I need to be set straight on if I'm off the beaten track, cuz I don't think so. The reason this new thread was named "Leaks DiscussionS" plural was that it was intended as one big rug under which to sweep all of that extraneous idle talk. But here we are in that "extraneous idle talk" thread trying to narrow the scope. Which would be, in legalistic terms, a breach of contract.

Good theory and all and the nude scene did devalue her set but that movie was shot at the end of 2019.

As far as the government here, you dont have to like it but you will respect it. The only "contract" that exists around here to be breached, are the rules of expected behavior. There is no guarantee of anything beyond that.

It wasn't shut down. All leak threads get locked so they aren't filled with 15 pages of annoying dumbfuckery now. Just the goodies.

 

Like I said, time was on her side. She had all the time in the world to start the clock. The stuff wasn't coming out any time soon. The "leaker" wasn't a leaker before that. He was a property owner hanging onto & protecting his valuable property. If an offer he couldn't refuse came along, it'd have changed hands, but nothing else would've changed. Had the threat become moot, her plan could've been to get Sean to switch to alternate footage they'd have already shot. Otherwise, the devaluation had to happen no matter who held the stolen goods.

I did say "a scenario". I understand this isn't the only possibility. Not even the likeliest. It's just an interesting one that illustrates a speculation. Which is that there are a number of debut nudity scenes that suprised me. This scenario could apply to one or more of them. And it makes those surprises a little less inexplicable.

What I really don't like & am a little bit afraid of, is getting hammered down without a reasonable understanding that I was crossing an invisible line. I don't want rope, what I need is clarity. I'm not trying to push any envelope here. My understanding of this thread is based on common knowledge. It's a "social" contract in the same way a common-law marriage can be a fact absent any official paperwork. If you take precipitous actions against members who have good reason to believe they are working within the rules, then that's bad governance. "There is no guarantee" is a bad actor's rationalization. You can be a good moderator, or you can be a tyrant. Your choice. Yes, you have the power. But if you can't moderate yourself, you could be an abuser. To the detriment of the site & its members. "When I feel it's necessary" tells me that's not your intention. "I'm watching this" isn't the same thing as "cut that out" & giving an explanation of what "that" is.

For now, I'm not going to let Keith David & any other individual members who happen to want what he does, unofficially redefine this thread's "charter" as I see it. He's wrong until the tyrant clarifies otherwise. Just to stay on the safe side, I'd like to emphasize that "that's bullshit" & "being ridiculous" are not personal attacks. They refer to validity & behavior, respectively.

 

Long winded posts are about all you seem to be good for, if your recent entries here are a reference point. You want a lot of answers for someone who could disappear after your last post and nobody would know the difference. The part that I find amusing, and the only reason that I have even allowed it to get this far, is that for all your words, you show very little understanding of basic dialog. Breaking everything down and trying to belittle what was said to you doesnt make you sound clever. In fact, it only distorts the meaning, which you cant seem to grasp.

So, one time and one time only, I will break it down to as plain of terms as I can, in the hopes that you can decipher what Im saying.

When something steps over the line, it will be addressed. That line is defined by the rules of phun. Rules that have taken years of tweaking from years of exeprience to become what they are in their current form. They are stickied at the top of every section and some of the most important ones, rules of personal conduct, can be found in the section entitled "Phun house rules and information". The only contract (your word, not mine) that exists is an agreement by any user who signs up for a membership to abide by those rules. Beyond that, nothing else is guaranteed. Meaning, you are not entitled to freedom of speech or freedom of action. This is a privately owned site that is operated by people who have been entrusted with free reign to do our job of enforcing the rules while also keeping this place welcoming to as many people as possible.

This has been the way that phun has been run since its inception in 2004. I would say the place seems to be doing quite fine for itself, despite your fears of tyrants and abuse of power. In fact, if I was to abuse power, couldnt I save us all the trouble of your annoyingly drawn out drivel and this overly long post? Just click delete on all your posts, ban u from replying in this thread or just ban you outright? Nobody would be none the wiser because you are nobody of consequence.

I dont need to be schooled on what personal attacks are. Just be aware that personal attacks are not the only thing that can be a cause for action. Being a nuisance is also against the rules and written down in plain sight for anyone who gives a shit enough to look. This is the way phun runs. This is the way it has run. This is the way it will continue to run. If you dont like that, im ok with that. You have said your piece and anyone who reads your posts will know where you stand. This should be the last post in this thread regarding this subject, which is clearly not leaks. Anything further on this subject will result in action. Clear enough?
