RIP Rest In Peace Throbbn

No words can describe how shocked I was in learning an old friend has passed on.

One of my first friends here who not only brought a sense of calmness, humour, relevance and down to earth attitude in ways to this day resonate with me.

I remember finding this place which first brought me to the collection of pictures then in life does, evolved to so much more. I gravitated to the general section to games then chat thread to where many others would gather and it burst into a scene where Friendships flourished and last to this day.

With my life evolving and growth of my own Family its harder for me to visit but I do when I can. And it pained me deeply to find out a dear Friend passed away so unexpectedly.

Rest In Peace kind soul. Know you are missed and watch over us in ways you can.

 

In a world with lots of snarky and sarcastic persons he was genuinly welcoming to new members of the forum. John always tried his best to be friendly with everyone. That didnt hide the fact that he was opinionated but he could hold his own in any debate and when it was over he would be back in his calm friendly discussions like nothing had happened. Also that genuine interest in members from other parts of the world. You can easily think it is phony when someone enthusiasticaly wants to know more about the small part of the world your from, but i never got that feeling with John. I dont know if it was sickness old age or a possible heartattack/stroke that ended our star tbone but its something serene to think that he drifted away in his sleep some time around januari februari this year.

John was a kind soul.
He was always upbeat and positive, and I miss the messages I used to get.

 

throbbn annoyed me from the get go, and I know I got under his skin constantly. But we both liked Julia Chanel
John was a talented photographer. He created marvelous portfolios for aspiring models, and couples, and friendly prospects who couldn't afford a pro; no dollars accepted, no questions asked. He loved the art. You can't fault a man for that. And he was a damn fine photographer.

Regardless, I never successfully got along with him here at phun. I friended him at Facebook, but that just fell apart.
He was very judgy. The last time he quoted one of my posts here was so he could insult me. I hope that made him feel good.
Just a couple years older than me. It's sad he's dead. I hope I have a few more years in me than he did.

 

As I said in the other thread, me and Tbone got off on the wrong foot. I came into the chat thread with my usual sarcasm and cynicism and it really rubbed him the wrong way. We would make little jabs at each other. Then he messaged me one day and we talked it out. I explained where I was coming from and that I had no ill intent. Its just my personality. He understood and from that day on, he was on a mission to out sarcasm me at any chance he got.

There were some times when one of us maybe went a little too far but a quick pm would give us a chance to talk it out and see eye to eye again. He would send me pictures of different models and things he had photographed. He loved photography and it really showed. I got the sense of pride he took in what he did.

Throbbn was a good dude. He may have had some quirks, but who doesnt? He was a member of our multi national, multi culture, dysfunctional family. Im glad I got the opportunity to get to know him...as much as someone can on an internet board. I hope hes in a place with much better subject matter for him to photograph. Ill be expecting to see one hell of a portfolio when we meet up on the other side.

Rest easy John. Know that while you may be gone from this earth, you will be remembered by those that are damned to continue to roam this earth.

I was sad and shocked to come in here and read this today. I hope the ones who loved him are doing okay. Sorry to hear he has gone.

 

John has been with me almost from the beginning of my Phun adventure.
Laters we got into photography and have changed opinions and ideas so many times.
I even got him to switch to Nikon ...
He has also barked at me many times, when i was stupid and angry. Simply cared !
Damn, i miss you John !

 

We bumped heads from time to time.....but this is truely sad.

 

How sad t hear of Throbbin's death. Rest In God's Arms.

 

Im willing to relay condolences to a member on the forum. What members need to know though is that i dont know if he is in contact with Johns loved ones. If another member has a good path to them write it here or contact me in pm.

 

Just saying ... John did not want his Nearest to know that He was on a "Porn Site".

 

Did send a message on WhatsApp just telling how sad i am.
No response.
