Love Anya & thanks for Watson.

Wish she'd (Emma) take the Keira Knightley route and try her hand at directing
first a short film (she could finance and produce) could be a drama or docu.

Daniel definitely has made his stage debut, (think Rupert has too) can't
    see Emma do that.

Same. I've no idea what a supportive, healthy, loving relationship with siblings looks like. Not fishing for sympathy, it is what it is.

Similar situation. I get on well with my sister, my brothers are insufferable. Or maybe I am.

I honestly don't think she really gives a damn about acting, not sure she ever did have the passion for it that so many others have shown. She got the HP gig, it was massive, she made a lot of money from it and got the fame and influence which she uses to preach her causes(not exactly practice what she preaches but that's a whole other thing) and now? I don't think she cares about it for whatever reason, be it she was never someone who wanted to be an actress or she sees it as beneath her or whatever. We'll see.

What is this 'family' thing you all are speaking of? ...:( I gotta make light of it or else it hurts a lot.

I can't watch a 2 hour movie in one sitting anymore. I watch half and watch the rest the next day. I watched Deepwater Horizon in one sitting because I worked in the industry 30 years. I worked on the Deepwater Millenium.

Did you feel it was an accurate depiction of work on a rig.

It wasn't bad and got most things right. The terminology was okay. Having the event occur at crew change was good, that was something I had to be very careful about. The new crew has been gone for two weeks and need a few hours to get up to date. I’ve had problems that were very exciting but nothing blew up. I fixed a problem once that had an explosion where three people died and two were badly burnt.

Having office management on the rig is distracting and I had to fix a problem that caused one time that cost about a million dollars.

    Hi!!!

Sun/cloud lows of 5c highs (and in the sun) 15c.

It looks (and feels) Spring in the Sun, out of it, its chilly.

Second day of some kitchen table work, thanks are beginning to look up for the Autumn/Winter.

March 2nd: Day 2 of Watson week.

The thing is none of us really knows, what we do know is Dan, Rupert and Emma
were really young when they were cast for the roles and their "Normal" life ended there.

They became huge worldwide box office and grew up in front of the camera.
It was different for Emma as the lead girl and she faced pressures that D&R
didn't face (they didn't have the equivalent of paps trying to take a pic up your
skirt when you were 15 or if you're seen with a guy he's the new bf) and if you complain
about it you then become a target for "Who does she think she is".

Yes they got really well paid, but in return once they're out of the door you're a target.

I watched the new Billy Eilish docu and fan after fan told her "Your songs/you have saved my life".
Imagine being on the receiving end of that, i'd imagine it could get really scary and what do you say
    in reply?

Emma has been on variations of them.

Career wish i think she made a lot of mistakes straight after Potter.
Personally i'd gone for the smaller roles in Independent films.
Both in front of and behind the camera, much the same as Keira Knightley
did, she could of used her money to fund projects that mirrored her causes.

Instead she went for the big budget films, were time after time she failed to make a impact.

I support her speaking her out and her causes, but her heavy handed preaching and brand of feminism and that she appears at high profile centre piece events.

Yet in a time of crisis for her industry vanishes,(in contrast PWB started the (Fleabag fund*) and that does not sit well with me.

She could still take the Independent acting and directing route or walk away and be remembered as Hermione and a campaigner.

I will agree about Emma having to deal with a lot her 2 male costars didn't have to, from the paps harassing to all the various gossip and judgement of every person she is associated with and every statement or view she has. I don't use the word 'sexism' much, as I think it has been extremely overused and bastardized to include all critiques of any and all women by far too many; but I think this is an example of entrenched sexism where the male can do whatever, experiment from a career standpoint, take stances and be praised for it, while the female is constantly judged and put down no matter what if she does the exact same thing, not to mention the oversexualizing of her almost from the time she burst onto the scene(which is obviously ewww), I say that as a veteran of other forums throughout the years who sees to this day some guys who have this absolute fetish for her not as the woman she is now but as prepubescent Hermione and constantly say she is the sexiest female celeb based mainly off of a role she played AS A CHILD. Yes, I constantly say Alexandra Daddario is a goddess and the sexiest female celeb around, but I don't primarily base it off a role she did as a tween and I think my fellow Phunners have the same views of their faves. But I digress; you are right that we don't know what it was like for them, going from just kids to the most visible and popular kids on the planet who are forever tied to one of the biggest series in modern times. It is possible that it contributed to jading her view of acting, celebrity, doing anything in regards to how the industry suffered with the pandemic. But like you said, we don't know, we can only guess.

Wondering if I should check out this Billie Eillish doc now. I'm not exactly a massive fan of hers(she's not bad, just not something I listen to a lot), but she is a unique artist and it sounds like this was a good watch.
