    More people around and a Al fresco cafe is open, (yes we did go there) but more importantly found a sheltered place to have our picnic aka drink.

    Yesterday was too windy to stay there.

    My immediate reaction was to think about those terrible wildfires that are spreading in the US! I hope he's a long way away!
    But I'm surprised nobody's started a thread to provide details - I presume that's because they're annual occurrences in some States, so folk there just shrug them off unless it's actually their home that's going up in smoke?

    Morning, I'm fine thanks, just in holiday mode and in regular sleep patterns, but most of all patchy WiFi that I think was blown away to Norway.

    Few more holiday makers down here, but far from crowded.

    i know Cane has bouts of low selfasteem and depression he may have one of periods. Im not saying that is the case but its worth mentioning. I agree with Sophie though take care friend and we are here if and when you feel better.

    For my part i have been completely nullified as far as conversation goes all day. But maybe someone can start something that will spark something in my mind. I seem to be at a loss of conversation subjects at the moment.

    Q: Why did the film makers decide to make the fictional character of Mary Anning gay,
    when the real Mary Anning wasn't?

    There's no evidence that the real Mary Anning was straight.
    But her relationships with women were incredibly intense, per her letters.

    So it's not much of a stretch to make the dramatic choice that the director Francis Lee did.

    "After seeing queer history be routinely 'straightened' throughout culture, and given a historical figure where there is no evidence whatsoever of a heterosexual relationship.

    I hate being that guy/person but i just hate the lazyness i see in those dinner pics. Yeah sure we technically follow the guidelines using masks but we do it lazily. I dont know gang maybe i read way to much into it. I mean there is covid fatigue here in Sweden aswell where people kind of follow the guidelines as far as keep distance goes. Its not over yet. I iwsh i could say it was but i would be lying.
