I usually don't comment on leaks, and I know that I'll sound like a killjoy here, but I think that this thread is a fucking disgrace.

Sure, she has professional social media and she's recorded a couple of albums, but she's not a celebrity, period. She's not somebody who can afford a publicist and a manager to protect her image, and she's definitely not someone with a full-time career in music. Like the girl who was a Disneyland Asia singer a few months ago, she doesn't qualify as a celebrity, but she rather registers as a "hot girl with explicit leaked pics who wasn't famous at all, but we'll call her a celebrity because we don't want to admit that posting her pictures is just glorified revenge porn".

Otherwise, it just takes having heard about an attractive girl, hacking a private cloud account, finding nude pictures on it (the more explicit the better), and sharing them, because she has performed on stage, had a minor part in some movie, had an article published in a magazine, anything that qualifies as being remotely involved with the entertainment industry. And voilà ! She's definitely famous, and we're entitled to seeing pictures of her labia or her asshole.

And the result of all this is that we had this girl, that nobody here knew, including me, being casually misidentified a few days later with some random cam girl from a few years ago, as if having explicit pictures hacked was ultimately not very different from being in the adult industry.

I guess that a fair rule would be at least to consider for any "celebrity" if sharing this kind of content would radically alter her fame and her public image. Will she be more remembered on the web for her music or for her explicit pictures that were hacked? And in her case, the answer is quite clear.
